Brief punctuation guide
A writer who is too lazy (or ignorant) to properly punctuate his manuscript is a writer with whom we will be much less inclined to work. It takes considerable time and work on our part to evaluate a manuscript and anyone who seriously wants us to consider their work needs to recognize that "Eats, shoots, and leaves" means something quite different from "Eats shoots and leaves."
