Poisoned Pen Press publishes intelligent, well written, well-edited mystery fiction and mystery related non-fiction. We specialize in introducing new voices to the mystery genre: since our inception in 1997 we have introduced nearly 70 new authors and over 300 original mysteries to the world of mystery readers.

The Library market has always been our main focus. We have exhibited at every PLA–held bi-annually–since 2000 and at every ALA in the years between. We promote literacy through our affiliation with the National Education Association through its Read Across America program in partnership with the NFL Players Association and also in partnership with the NBA through its NBA Cares and their Read to Achieve program. In the last three years Poisoned Pen Press has donated more than $1,000,000 worth of mysteries to young adult reading programs.

And now we’ve launched a new program: our 5 and 5 Mystery Box. In this one-to-one program, librarians are sure to find themselves with free books sure to please their voracious mystery readers.
